What the HELL is up with music?
TPAIN, akon, any of the kids from Disney Channel.
It pains me to listen to the radio these days. But don't get me wrong I have always had a bit of trouble swallowing what was put on my musical plate. I refuse to acknowledge akon and tpain's synthesized, overdone songs loaded with empty words and worn out beats as anything more than noise on my damn radio.
Now while this may equate me with the old man in his underwear stomping out the poo and yelling for the kids to get off his lawn, but I can't pretend to enjoy this garbage the rest of the country is jamming out to. I may not be the biggest music buff, I probably can't name all the Beatles, and I have no clue what band Jimmy Hendrix was in, but I can listen to things and determine if they require actual talent or not.
My determination of TPAIN.. SYNTHISIZED SHIT.. just 12 tracks of nothing but computerized horrible singing. At least back in the day (before synthisizers) becoming famous required some amount of talent. But today with your nasal britney spears', raspy Hanah Montana's and obviously synthisized Lindsay Lohans make me fucking puke. Sure they have cute little bodies, blonde hair, and lots of makeup, that's fine.... go act. Maybe there you can get away with it, and I wont have to listen to it.
While the POP and r&b music has become over synthesized the country music has taken a big old shot of REDNECK and put on their very best TEXAS accent to give the full effect of COUNTRY music. Like they really have to drive it home of where they are from, or not from. A few of them are from places such as Canada or Australia, but oddly enough they still have TEXAS accents in their music.. isn't that funny. While TPAIN is pretending to sing, Keith Urban is pretending to be TEXAN. *eye roll*
God it's painful to listen to. Shame on you America, you've come so far as to elect a Black President, but you can't pick good music to save your life. So I am stuck listening to the oldies station or my IPOD filled with Queen, Bob, and a selective mix of other antiquated jams. It's just disgusting. YOU MAKE ME SICK.. you hear me? Sick!
